PairProof

Privacy policy

Updated October 5, 2026 · PairProof by Haowen Zhang

PairProof helps you create Before and After job reports on your device. The app does not require a PairProof account, upload report content to a developer server, or include advertising, analytics SDKs or AI services. Apple purchases and optional feedback use the services described below.

Reports, photos and business details

Client names, property details, service dates, notes, photos, saved properties, checklists and your business profile are stored in the app's local storage. Camera access is used when you choose to take a photo. Images you select through the system Photos or Files picker are processed on your device.

Images are resized and re-encoded. Original GPS and camera metadata are not copied into the saved image. The service date and address on a report are supplied by you. Reports and photos are not independently verified or tamper-proof evidence.

In 1.3, the Ghost alignment camera displays an existing Before photo as a local guide over the live camera preview. The guide is not composited into the captured After photo. PairProof does not send either image to an alignment service.

Shared property setups and QR codes 1.3

When you choose to share a property setup, PairProof places the property name, optional address, selected trade profile, area names and default notes into a setup link. A QR code contains that same link when the setup fits. The link and QR are generated on the device; this feature does not upload the setup to a PairProof server.

Setup links and QR codes are not encrypted. Anyone with the link or QR can decode and read its contents. A property name or note may identify a client even though the link has no separate client-name field. Check every shared field and send it only to people you trust.

Photos, business profiles or branding, separate client names, report identifiers, report history and purchase information are not included. There is no option to attach photos to a setup link. The recipient reviews the setup and confirms before it creates a saved property and a new local report with empty photo slots. PairProof does not authenticate the sender of a setup link.

PDFs, photo cards, videos and other sharing

PDFs are created on your device and can contain client names, property addresses, dates, notes, photos and business details that you entered. When you choose Save or Share, the destination you select receives the file.

In 1.3, Before/After photo cards and videos are also rendered on the device. They exclude separate client names, property addresses and work notes. They include the selected photos and area name; photo cards also include the service date. Pro output can include your business name and logo. Free output includes PairProof attribution. These exclusions cannot remove personal details that are visible in a photo, included in a custom area name, or drawn into a logo. Inspect output before posting it publicly.

PairProof does not automatically post to a social network. A social app, email provider or other sharing destination receives the exported file only when you select it in the system's sharing controls. Those providers handle the file according to their own policies and your settings.

Saving a 1.3 video directly to Photos requests permission to add the exported video to your library. This is add-only access, not permission for PairProof to read your whole library. The app does not request microphone access for the generated Before/After video. You can use the system share or Files destination instead.

Purchases, subscriptions and free reports

Apple processes payments, subscriptions, offer-code redemption and verified purchase entitlements. We do not receive your payment-card details. The 1.3 update recognizes an original verified Unlimited lifetime purchase as Lifetime Pro; it does not require an existing owner to purchase again.

PairProof stores the identifiers and content fingerprints of up to three free reports in your device's Keychain to record the allowance and permit repeat export of unchanged finalized reports. These records contain no readable photos or client details and are not sent to the developer. Records from earlier builds may contain only the first free report's identifier. In 1.3, PDF, photo-card and video exports share this same report allowance.

The free allowance is local to the device and does not reset when a report is deleted. Keychain records may remain after app reinstallation. Restoring purchases through Apple restores eligible paid access; it does not restore your local report or photo library.

In 1.3, if you choose Copy & continue when redeeming an offer code, the prepared code is written to your device's clipboard so you can paste it into Apple's redemption sheet. Apple validates the offer and any resulting transaction. The code is not sent to a developer-operated redemption service.

Local preferences and review requests 1.3

Your selected trade profile and onboarding preference are saved on the device. PairProof also keeps the count and local identifiers of distinct reports successfully exported, together with review-request milestones, in device preferences. These are used to decide when to ask Apple's review system for a prompt and are not sent to us. Apple controls whether a prompt is shown.

Backups, retention and deletion

Device backups, iCloud backups, exported files and chosen sharing services operate according to your system settings and the providers' policies. PairProof does not provide its own cloud library, cross-device report sync or account-recovery service.

Deleting a report removes its library entry. Internal image copies may remain in app storage so that removing one report does not remove photos used by another report. Uninstalling the app removes its local library, but free-report records may remain in Keychain. You manage separately any exported PDFs, cards, videos, shared setup links and system backups. Save important exports before removing the app. Once you have shared a file or setup link, PairProof cannot revoke copies held by recipients or other services.

Optional in-app feedback

If you tap Submit feedback, PairProof sends the reply email and message you enter, the app version and a random submission reference to Formspree over HTTPS. Formspree forwards the feedback to haowenapps@gmail.com and stores a copy in our support dashboard. We use feedback to answer your question and troubleshoot issues. Sending feedback is optional and is not required to create reports or use paid features.

Reports, photos, business details, client names and property addresses are not automatically attached. Please do not include unnecessary client or sensitive information. Formspree also processes connection information, such as IP addresses, for delivery, security and spam filtering. See Formspree's privacy policy for its practices. The app does not store feedback-service cookies or use feedback for advertising or tracking.

Support messages and reply email addresses are retained as needed to resolve requests, subject to the service provider's retention settings and applicable obligations. You can email us to request access, correction or deletion of feedback we hold.
